Infrastructure finance

Many of the infrastructure assets we use today have a long and important history. By comparison, infrastructure as an asset class for private investment is relatively young.

Institutional investors have found infrastructure debt and equity increasingly attractive in the current economic environment, as they have the potential to offer diversification and long-term, predictable returns which match their liabilities.

At M&G, we have extensive experience in infrastructure investing and have two dedicated teams, focused on infrastructure debt and infrastructure equity. Our infrastructure debt team structures and manages all classes of debt in the infrastructure sector, while our infrastructure equity team focuses on acquiring and actively managing core infrastructure assets.

The value of investments will fluctuate, which will cause prices to fall as well as rise and investors may not get back the original amount they invested.

Infrastructure debt

M&G currently manages a portfolio of senior and junior debt totalling over €51bn*.

*As at 30 June 2017.

Infrastructure equity

Infracapital is our dedicated infrastructure equity team, having raised and managed more than €3.4bn* in committed capital.

*As at 30 June 2017.
